Inside the Story of Penn State Football with Chris Buchignani
Penn State football didn’t begin under stadium lights or on national television. It began in the late 1800s, shaped by students, early coaches, and a growing university finding its footing. This is the last of a 3-part series tracing the full story—from its humble origins to the program we know today—following the people, moments, and traditions that gave Penn State football its character.
Thursday, April 30th: Session 3: Modern Penn State Football (1990s–Present) Tradition meets change as we examine recent history, evolving challenges, and how the past continues to influence the program today.
Led by Chris Buchignani, a longtime Penn State journalist and historian, the series blends historical insight with conversation and reflection—designed to feel as much like a shared evening at Pine Grove Hall as a deep dive into the game’s enduring story.
Dinner and full bar service are available before and throughout the evening. Held in our upstairs listening room. No handicapped access.
This is a Connect Happy Valley event.
