WINE
Biodynamic winemaking is rooted in the work of Dr. Rudolf Steiner in the 1920s when he gave a series of lectures promoting the idea of a farm as a self-sustaining living organism. Winemakers make decisions based on maintaining the health of the farm as well as producing great wine.
In organic winemaking, the grapes are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, and all ingredients going into these wines, which includes yeast, must be certified organic. No sulfites may be added to these wines, although some that occur naturally are permitted. Many of the wines on our list are organically or biodynamically produced.

The Quarella family has farmed this New Jersey soil for a century, and their intimate knowledge of the land has allowed them to craft fine estate wines exclusively from grapes cultivated on their 50 acres.
