A new era of Penn State Football begins, and you’re invited!

Join us at Pine Grove Hall for an intimate, behind-the-scenes evening with the student-athletes who will take the field this fall. This is a limited, in-person experience offered in partnership with Happy Valley United (Penn State’s official NIL Collective), and hosted by Jim Galanti (Keystone Sports Network) and Chris Buchignani (The Obligatory PSU Pregame Show).

You’ll hear directly from players about the road that brought them to Happy Valley - unfiltered stories, real turning points, and what it actually takes to earn a spot on this roster. Get an early read on the culture being built under Head Coach Matt Campbell, and sit in on honest, unscripted conversations about the pressure, pride, and expectations of playing at one of college football’s most storied programs. It’s a rare look at the human side of the team before the season begins.

Each session will be recorded in audio and video for the HVU Insider podcast. After the recording, stay for some relaxed social time to meet the players, take photos, and connect with fellow fans and hosts

A multi-talented New York-based performer originally from Huntingdon, PA, Pavlik is equal parts singer-songwriter, filmmaker, playwright, and actor. His theatrical chops include appearances with Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Penn State Centre Stage, FUSE Productions, and NYC’s 54 Below.

With a vaudevillian flair inspired by The Muppet Show, Pavlik blends humor, nostalgia, and sharp musicianship in a style all his own. He’ll perform selections from his upcoming album Ear Candy (dropping late June), plus sneak peeks from his next release.

Expect groovy ’70s vibes, folk-country charm, and a playful spirit that’s pure retro cool. If you’re into character-driven songwriting and theatrical storytelling, this is your night.

Doug Irwin and Jon Rounds were Americana before it was a thing. They grew up on Dylan, Springsteen, Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Steve Earle, Mary Gauthier. With Hannah Bingman and Laura Boswell, they are members of the songwriting collective TuneSmith. They'll do songs from Irwin's well-received album, The Bridges That I Burn, and from Rounds' songs from The Rounds Brothers, Cartoon, and The Guitar Brothers.

Catherine Dupuis Quartet returns to Pine Grove Hall on July 8 for an evening celebrating two legendary composers of the Great American Songbook, Burt Bacharach and Henry Mancini. Joined by Clay Wulbrecht on piano, Justin Dorsey on bass, and Charlie Heim on drums, Dupuis explores the elegance, charm, and unforgettable melodies of these iconic songwriters. The evening will feature a full set devoted to each composer, along with a few summertime favorites and beloved standards woven in for good measure.

For the third year running, four pillars of the State College music scene return to the stage, not as a lineup, but as what they’ve always been: old friends.

Ken Mathieu, a veteran of the ’60s folk circuit who played Gerde's Folk City and later signed with the Robert Stigwood Organization, helped lay the groundwork for a generation of local musicians.

Jerry Zolten, Penn State Professor Emeritus, produced a Grammy-winning recording with The Fairfield Four and has spent decades preserving and performing American roots music with Code Blue.

Jon Rounds is a songwriter’s songwriter, with a catalog performed by dozens of regional artists and appearances at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe.

And David Fox, winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and former George Harrison in Beatlemania, rounds out the group with decades of songwriting and performance.

Together, they’ve shaped the sound of this region through bands like Backseat Van Gogh, Code Blue, The Rounds Brothers, Cartoon, and Guitar Brothers, as well as countless collaborations that defined an era of local music.

This dynamic quartet trio explores the soulful music of Horace Silver, Yusef Lateef, the Beatles, Eddie Harris, Bobby Timmons, and others.

Saxophonist RICK HIRSCH, the musical director of Zeropoint, the saxophonist in Erin Condo & the Hoofties, and an internationally-performed jazz composer. He’s a forward-looking improviser with solid roots in the traditions of jazz.

BOB HART is the bassist is in Zeropoint and Pure Cane Sugar, and has toured the world with vocalist Kat Edmondson. Bob’s is a world-class bassist and lyrical improviser.

Pianist CLAY WULBRECHT is a graduate of the esteemed jazz studies program at Indiana University and performs with the funk rock band Love Salad.

Drummer CHARLIE HEIM has recently returned to State College after a stint in Philadelphia and is now on the jazz faculty at Penn State University.

Orquesta Mi Amor (formerly Ady’s Latin Band) brings together the best musicians in and around State College to play classic and electrifying dance music from across Latin America: salsa, cumbia, joropo, boleros, son, and more.

Groove Society is an 8-piece classic funk/soul/R&B band with a hardworking 3-piece horn section. They perform funky classic soul and horn music and features lead singer Melanie Morrison.

A 2016 Blues Music Award winner and frequent Blues Music Award nominee, Mr. Price first attracted national attention during his three-year association with guitarist Roy Buchanan, with Mr. Price being the vocalist on two of Mr. Buchanan’s LPs. Many locals will remember his performances as the Keystone Rhythm Band at the legendary Scorpion club in State College, PA.

Mr. Price has recorded and released a total of 20 albums, CDs and DVDs.

The Billy Price Band, based in Mr. Price's hometown of Pittsburgh, consists of Dave Dodd on drums, Tom Valentine on bass, Lenny Smith on guitar, Jim Britton on keyboards, Eric Spaulding on saxophone, and Joe Herndon on trumpet. The group won the Pittsburgh City Paper Reader’s Poll in 2021 and 2022 as the top blues band in the city.

One Acre West is the new Americana project from Kristi Jean and Steven Branstetter, blending storytelling, roots, and country influences into a sound shaped by their lives in Texas, Colorado, and now the Appalachian ridge-and-valley region. Music was always part of their path, but life sent them on a long detour through careers, raising families, and the practical responsibilities that quietly pull creative people away from their own stories.

After years performing in cover bands, they found themselves craving something more personal. Their debut album will be released in the spring of 2026 and was produced by Austin legend Bradley Kopp (Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, The Flatlanders, Eliza Gilkyson, Jerry Jeff Walker), is a return to the stories they almost left behind - songs about transitions, place, loss, and love.
