Join your fellow readers and aspiring writers at Pine Grove Hall's "Meet the Author" series and enjoy an intimate evening with local and regional authors who write about food, drink and the arts.

This month, we feature Penn State Emeritus Professor of Psychology Keith Nelson with his new book titled “Breakthroughs: Realizing Our Potentials Through Dynamic Tricky Mixes” which was just released in March, 2022.

“Breakthroughs” is about “learning a way of thinking and approaching things” based on dynamic tricky mixes, a term he coined, Nelson said. “It’s about innovation, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, creativity and really breaking through to new territory — not by doing the same old thing and not by assuming there’s one way if I can only figure it out,” Nelson said. “There are multiple ways… if you don’t have [a] mix at work, then you remix. If that doesn’t work, you remix.”

Doors open at 5pm and the event starts at 6pm. Our Casual Fare menu and full bar service available all evening. Event will take place upstairs. Room is not handicapped accessible.
