Pine Grove Hall is proud to present Houston-based singer/songwriter extraordinaire Mike Stinson.

A Virginia native, Mike has an accomplished history as a darling of both the Los Angeles and Texas honkytonk scenes. He’s been awarded Best Country Artist by Los Angeles Magazine, Song of the Year by the Houston Press and Artist of the Year by Texas Music Magazine. Dwight Yoakum charted with Mike’s song Late Great Golden State.

His music has been featured in TV & Film. He is a well-respected craftsman. Back to his East Coast routes, we’re honored to have him here in a solo acoustic performance showcasing his accomplished Singer/Songwriter self.

Local legend and music historian Jerry Zolten has put together a beautiful evening of vintage clips and live music.

Starting at 6:00pm, Jerry will introduce a string of phenomenal vintage performance clips on the big Pine Grove Hall Theatrical Screen. Artists including BESSIE SMITH, FATS WALLER, SISTER ROSETTA THARPE, THE NICHOLAS BROTHERS, THE DIXIE HUMMINGBIRDS, THE FAIRFIELD FOUR, CHUCK BERRY, THE FLAMINGOS...and more.

At 7pm, members of CODE BLUE....Terri Parker, Rene Campbell, Jerry Zolten, Richard Sleigh, Chris Younken, Harry Werner, and John Raiser reunite for a tribute to Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the Staples Singers, and the soul gospel sound.

Bob Hart is a guitarist/bassist from State College (by way of NYC). He has toured/recorded with Kat Edmonson, Debbie Harry, Van Dyke Parks, Clare and the Reasons, and is a member of State College’s Pure Cane Sugar and Zeropoint Big Band.

We are excited to host our first ever songwriters round at Pine Grove Hall and we’d love for you to join us!

This month's round features Araelia Lopatic, Tiger Cabus, Hannah Bingman and Nate Cutshall. Our Writers' Round will showcase multiple writer/artists on stage at the same time, each playing one song going "AROUND" until 3, 4, or five "rounds" have been completed. They'll present new and sometimes not even fully completed songs in our exquisite listening room environment. It's an intimate evening that you won't want to miss.
