Joni Mitchell: A Tribute in Blue Musical Guest: Robin Tuttle Host: Larry Boggess

The last in our four-part Winter Music Retrospective Series, this show pays tribute to the poetry and musical genius of Joni Mitchell.

Considered among the best and most influential singer-songwriters ever, Joni had a profound impact on the singer-songwriters of her day. Her songs, singing, and musicianship continue to inspire songwriters, poets, singers, musicians, and artists fifty years later. Joni, along with fellow contemporary Canadians Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Ian Tyson, and Gordon Lightfoot, represents the special influence in folk music that came to New York in the late 60s from the North. Later in her career, Joni worked with jazz great Charles Mingus. Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock.

Singer Robin Tuttle will perform the complete Blue album, accompanied by host, Larry Boggess. Robin and Larry will also sing a curated selection of other Joni songs to round out the evening. A Q&A and Discussion will follow.
