Weaving together strands of old-time fiddle tunes, rock, honky tonk, and the Appalachian high-lonesome sound, The Shoats electrifies audiences with unique renditions of old songs and quality originals.

On August 4, 2023, they won first place in the Neo-Traditional Band Contest at the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, WV.

The group is comprised of brothers Gus and Huck Tritsch from Millheim, PA, and Morgantown, WV native Mary Linscheid.
