Josh and Sam have a pretty cool story of becoming beekeepers who make honey: While working as a logger, Sam found a honeybee hive in a hollow section of tree, brought it home and began learning about beekeeping. Soon, he was hooked and working for a commercial beekeeper. Josh, then working as a mechanical engineer in Minnesota, loved visiting home, listening to Sam’s beekeeping stories and also sought an off-ramp from an unfulfilling corporate career path.

Ten years ago, they purchased their own hives and started their own honey farm. Their motto: “Our roots and faith run deep for the prosperity of these lands and our community.” Now, their farm operation raises bee colonies and harvests wildflower honey from the hives. They produce four different varieties of honey, depending on the flowers the bees visited. They also sell hives and raise queen bees for other beekeepers.

Join Josh and Sam Huff, along with Pine Grove Hall Proprietor, Liz Grove, and partner Steve Christensen for this intimate supper party, held in our casual elegant second-floor dining room. Seating is limited to twenty-four guests and dinner will be served family-style.
