In 1972, two years before joining Patti Smith as her lead guitarist, Lenny Kaye curated Nuggets, an album that still blazes as an iconic collection of the psychedelia and garage band hits that paved the way for punk and influenced artists from the Ramones to Neil Young. Rolling Stone included Nuggets as one of the top 500 albums of all time, calling it "a great...snapshot into a microcosm of music history; the period leading into, during and immediately after the Summer Of Love."
